LOST IN FAR NORTH WEST

FOUND BY POLICE’ TRACKER

PERTH. January 30. After having followed his tracks for miles through wild and flooded country, police and a black-tracker have found Henry Cameron. 47, who was lost in the far north of Western Australia. When found, Cameron was halfstarved, badly sunburned, and scarcejy able to walk because of blistered feet, and was also in danger of being attacked by a mob of wild hoars. He had kept, his refle, but had thrown away all other equipment. Cameron, who was on his way from Roebuck Plains to Derby, ran short of provisions, and pulled down a telegraph wire to show his position, but fearing that he could not be found in time, continued his journey. Police in their search struggled through country inundated by the recent floods, and in a. deluge of rain, before finding footprints. They had only tinned meat and bread with them, and had to shoot a bird to make brother before they could feed Cameron. They brought him 100 miles to the hospital at Broome.
