VISIT TO ROTOMANU The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. W. Lee Martin), to-day, visited Rotomanu where in the public hall he met farmers of the Rotomanu, Inchbonnie and Kotuku districts and of the Taramakau Settlement and discussed with them a number of matters of interest to the farmers, including the guaran-
teed price and zoning system in connection with the supply of butterfat to the factories, the question of getting a direct shipment of Australian barley to Greymouth, and the question of ragwort eradication. Mr. H. E. Hodgkinson, president of the Rotomanu branch of tile Farmers’ Union, occupied ’ the chair, and there was an attendance of about 50 settlers. A report of the proceedings will be published in the “Star” to-morrow.
