NEW ADVERTISEMENT The Westland Centennial- Organisation has issued for the Centennial a story of the Golden West Coast. As “Old Westland.” the historical matter proves of great interest, and Mr. E. I. Lord, the author, has produced a very informative story. His Honor Mr. Justice Northcroft has written an interesting foreward, not only in praise of the work, but with some appropriate thoughts of early West Coast, and the pioneer band. The illustrations are of note, and one of a reproduction of Abel Tasman’s early voyage up the Coast with the. plotted chart is a unique record. The work should find favour as a Christmas present of value to the rising generation. A neat little work on “Westland To-day,” a province of plenty, properly illustrated is also being issued, and will be a popular work with the travelling public. Much information of the production of the Coast is also supplied. Both works are at reasonable prices.
