BRUNNER NOTES
[OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The monthly meeting of the Taylorville School Committee was held on Thursday last. Present: Messrs T AV. Morgan (chairman), L. Dando, PMccre, R. R. Smith and the headmaster (Mr A. E. Mahon). An apology for absence was received from Mr F. Slater. The headmaster reported that the school roll was 104 and the average attendance for November 95. Miss Macalister, Adviser of Infant Departments and Kindergartens, had visited the school during November and given useful advice. The school was receiving its milk supply, which was appreciated by most of the pupils. The committee finalised arrangements for the annual concert and made provision to co-operate in the visit o Canterbury children to the West Coast in February next. Several accounts were passed for payment. Owing to the heavy rain yesterday the Brunner Rifle Club did not hold their weekly shoot. Airs J. T. Dowell (Brunner), accompanied by her mother, left, on Fiiday, for Christchurch. Mrs R. Rothera, Taylorville, has lelt on a visit, to Wellington. Taylorville School break-up concert and prize-giving will take place in the AVallsend Hall on AVednesday evening. ____________
