The Ottawa correspondent of the “New York Times” says that the total cost of the Empire air scheme on a three years’ basis is now estimated at 800,000,000 dollars. Britain will provide 3200 to 3600 aeroplanes, costing 200,000,000 dollars. Of the remaining 600,000,000 dollars, Canada will contribute 80 per cent., Australia 12 per cent., and New Zealand 8 pei* cent.
