[FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] RAILWAY MISHAP. INVERCARGILL, December 1. Several waggons of a mixed train were derailed on the Tokanui branch line at 9 o’clock this morning. No damage was done to the permanent way. The waggons did not tip over, and no one was injured. The passengers were brought to Invercargill by ’bus. POSTAL OFFICIAL ATTACKED. HAMILTON, December 1. Suffering from severe wounds on the head and bleeding profusely, Mr. G. H. Coulman, 45, mail supervisior, of North Road, Frankton, was found lying on the road near his home last night. Mr.' Coulman said he had been’ attacked by two men and believed a crowbar had been used. The injured man was admitted to hospital. His condition is not serious.
