BABY CARNIVAL
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE Entries are now being received at the Regent Theatre for the St. John Ambulance Centennial Baby Carnival, which is being organised on a Domin-ion-wide scale for the purpose of raising funds for the Association. All babies born on or after January 1, 1937, are eligible for the competition. A motion picture' of each baby entered will, be taken, and the films will be screened at ■ the Regent Theatre for four weeks, commencing November 24. The wining baby will be decided by vote of all patrons to the theatre during that period, and the district winner will be decided from the winning babies from the various theatre districts of .Westland. The Westland winner will then compete with . the nineteen district .winners to select “Baby New .Zealand.” Handsome prizes are provided for the theatre and district winners,, and'the winning New Zealand baby will receive £5OO c-'h.
