Hedgehogs are to be included among the animals ami birds for the killing of which North Island acclimatisation societies. will pay a bonus, according to a decision of the- council to the society. Uniform bonuses for the killing of other vermin were decided. .It was resolved that, till further ndtice, the bo’nuses be 3d on hedgehogs, 6d on hawks, and 2/- on weasdls, stoats, ferrets and polecats, provided that unexpended portions of a society’s' contrition to the central fund, be refunded to that society on March .31 for th© purpose of covering any further bonuses it might have paid, and provided that if a society overdraws, the overdrawing shall be a pro rata deduc- ' tion from the funds.
