BRUNNER NOTES

[our own correspondent.] The Brunner Women's Institute held their eighth birthday party in the Wallsend Hall last, evening. The hall was decorated for the occasion, and an enjoyable time was spent. Visitors were present from a. number of Institutes. The music was supplied by Miss Watson (piano) and Miss McNeish (violin). Messrs Tikey and Wick were M.’s C. Items were contributed by Misses E. and R. Bell, B. Rostern, Master R. Kerr aud Mr. T. Murphy. The lucky seat was won by Miss Coulthard. Mosdames Hewison and Gilally were the winners of the Monte Carlo, and the lucky spot was won by Miss Kerr and Mr. Gillan. Community singing and dancing was also enjoyed. Supper was served by the members, .after which, the President (Mrs. Pender.) cut the birthdav cake.
