ALLEGED FALSE PASSPORTS

A Federal Grand Jury have indicted Early Browder, general secretary of the American Communist Party, on charges of making false passport applications, in 1937 and 1938. Browder’s present whereabouts are unknown. Testifying before the Dies Committee, on September 5, Browder admitted that he travelled abroad during the past two years, with ti faked passport. —LATER. Browder was arrested in the Grand Jury room, whore he was responding to a subpoena. He pleaded not guilty, and, after being photographed and finger-printed, was released on 10,000 dollars bail.
