Mr. Jack White, of Christchurch; is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. i'George White. >; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Russell spent the week-end in Reefton. . 1 Mr. and Mrs. V. Blom, of Wellington, are visiting Reefton. i Messrs Wilkins (member), Thorn,ten (secretary), Leaper and Mr. Stew.art (architect) of the Nelson Educa{lion Board, yir.itcd Reefton on Friday, and inspected the school. They also .visited Ikamal.ua. and later left for jGranity to attend a school reunion. I The annual reliability trial of the , Canterhrf'ry Motor-cycle Club made a •.round trip to the West Coast during tlir week-end. Ferty-fivo motor-cycles left. Christehnrcli shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, and. after having a short ispell on the road, reached Reefton via Lewis Pass at 8.20 in the evening. A lino run was experienced by the riders, among whom were, a number of women riding pillion. The party was quartered at, various hotels in the ‘town, and were entertained at a dance lin tile Band Room by the Awatea Basketball Club. On Sunday morning, (the party left for Greymouth, in continuance cf the run.
The funeral of the kite James Quinn, held on Saturday afternoon, was attended by members of the Reefton R.S.A.. 'file burial services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Evans, at the Suburban Comet erv.
