NORTH SEA ACTION
ADMIRALTY COMMUNIQUE [By CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. October 12, 11 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. An Admiralty communique states that the % air attack against the cruiser squadron in the North Sea, on October 9, continued for five hours, during which over 100 bombs were dropped, one salvo falling near enough to throw a few splinters on a cruiser. GERMAN VERSION BERLIN, October 11. Obviously referring to last night’s British Admiralty communique, the official German news agency reports that, beginning on October 7, joint naval and air operations in the northern part of the North Sea, off the north-west coast of Norway, succeeded in forcing British forces into action, in which some of the enemy were damaged.
