GREY CLUB’S SHOOT Members of the Grey Miniature Rifle Club held the third and final shoot for Mr. W. Greenhill’s trophy last evening. G. Smith, P. Thomson and L. Ford tied for the trophy with an aggregate of 140, and the shoot-off resulted in a win for G. Smith 69 ——I— -70, P. Thomson being runner-up with 66 _2—68. ( In the competition for Mr. T. Nankevill’s aggregate trophy, J. Mo^ loy proved the winner with a total of 348, being followed by P. Thomson 347, S. Hunter 346, C. Richardson 346. The club competition (Tisdall Cup) was won by G. Smith with 1,012. The runner-up was J. Molloy, 1,004. The handicap championship (Mr. J. S. Robertson’s Cup) was won by J. Molloy with 1,040, next being P. Thomson 1,035, G. Smith 1,035, M. O’Grady 1,033, G. Webster 1,032, A. Webster 1,032, R. Boddy 1,032. In the teams’ competition (Edmond’s Cup) Weka 262 defeated Kiwi 259; Huia 261 defeated Kaka 257. The final points were: Weka 22 (winners). Kaka 20, Kiwi 16, Huia 14FThe winning team was as follows: W. Hamilton (capt.), P. Thomson, T. Garth. W. Butcher, M. O’Grady, S. Hunter, P. Malone. The Hotty Button championship was won by G. Smith (16 points), J. Molloy being runner-up (13 points). Mrs. L. Forrest’s trophy for the junior marksmen was won by S. Hunter (64 —5 —69). The final shoot of the season will be held on Saturday.
