ANGLO-FRENCH SOLIDARITY
GLOWING TRIBUTE TO BRITAIN. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Received September 8, 12.15 p.m.) PARIS. September 7. The Ministry of Information has issued the following statement: “British help is greater than in 1914. Germany now has no fleet as a rival for the British fleet, and communications are assured. “Britain’s effort in the air has been
prodigious. Her conscription is only six months old, but millions of men are on their way. "The British Dominions realise the need for the deliverance of the world from the tyranny that is again apparent. We remember, that the Dominions are industrial nations. “The enemy is endeavouring to divide Britain and France, but they remember 1914. They were comrades 'during four years, sharing dangers and then sharing victory. We Frenchmen know, by experience, that Englishmen abide by their commitments. We. have confidence in our allies, as they trust us.”
