RABBITSKIN SALE
DUNEDIN, July 18
The Dunedin Stock and Station Agents’ Association reports that a large catalogue of approximately 75 tons was submitted at to-day’s rabbitskin sale. Although competition was keen throughout the auction, exporters’ limits were lower and bucks especially were weaker. At the previous sale buyers .were anxious to fill orders and values for bucks appreciated considerably. Owing to the import restrictions, New Zealand furriers were the most active at the sale to-day. Compaied with the previous sale’s quotations, bucks were on an average 3d to 6d lower, while does were irregular. Hatters grades were firm, while Autumns of all description were a ■shade easier.
