The Mapleton Club defeated the New Zealand bowlers by 40 ro 32. Dee lost 17-22, and Adess lost 15-18. Fletcher’s rink defeated a Montville rink, on a private green, 36-16. BRISBANE, July 19.
The New Zealand bowlers defeated Palmwoods, 80/50. Dee won 34/9, Adess won 22/20, Fletcher won 24/21.
SOCCER.
BRISBANE, July 18
The Palestine Soccer team defeated a Queensland team at Toowoomba bv 13 to 3.
HAWAIIAN SWIMMERS
HONOLULU, July 18.
Arrangements have been completed for a team of 20 Hawaiian surfers and swimmers to visit Sydney early in 1940, to compete in the second Pacific Games.
Negotiations are still progressing for a Hawaiian team to compete at the New Zealand Centennial Games.
