MOTOR ACCIDENTS
CTRL KILLED BY LORRY

WELLINGTON, July IS.
A five-year-old girl, Shirley Blackburn. of 13 Buckingham Street Lyall Bay, was killed instantly when struck by a motor-lorry, in Queen’s Drive, at 2..35 p.m. to-day. The lorry was loaded with three yards of gravel. ’• The child received very severe head injuries, a wheel apparently passing over her. 1
MAN’S FATAL INJURIES,:
WANGANUI, July IS.
Richard Smith, married, 32, a. Public Works employee, who was one of five persons injured when a motorcar went over a bank at Deniair settlement on Sunday, died in the Wanganui Public Hospital to-night. The condition of the other victims of the accident, J. F. Barrie, R. Plaisted, J. W. Shore, adn Mrs. L. Beggs, who were only slightly injured, was reported to-night to be comfortable.
