DANZIG PROBLEM.

DANZIG, July 17.
Herr Foereste-r has returned to Danzig. It is understood' he indicated 1 that he found' Herr Hitler optimistic regarding the Danzig problem, which could be settled by negotiation between Germany and Poland, provided there \vas> no outside interference.
GENERAL IRONSIDE’S VISIT
LONDON, July 17.
The Warsaw correspondent of “The Times” says that General Ironside’s visit is described- as a continuation of the contact between the British and Polish staffs. In addition to military talks with the Polish High Command, General Ironside will inspect centres of military activity, and will attend military exercises at Rembertow and Modlin.
The newspapers welcome the visit, as tangible evidence of the identity of British and Polish purpose.
