Constable L. P. Ricketts left this morning, on transfer to Timaru. Mr. W. McHi/gh left to-day, on return to Christchurch.

Mr. and Mrs. T. Crankshaw left ,llis morning, for Timaru.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Barnett left to-day, )ii return to Christchurch.

Mr. C. Perry left this morning, for Wellington.

Mr. R. Allen left this morning, on return to Christchurch. , Mr. E. V. Ellery will leave this evening, for Christchurch, to attend a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board.

The funeral of Mr. Frank Smith took place at Karoro Cemetery this afternoon. Rev. A. A. Bensley conducted the services at the' residence, Blackball, and at the graveside.

Hospital Board, were paid at a recent meeting of the executive of the association.
