GOERING WOUNDED?
ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT REPORTS DENIED IN BERLIN [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, July 16. Unofficial reports received in London siay that Field-Marshal Goering ■was wounded in: the left arm ini an attempt on his life in Berlin, early on the morning of July 12. The reports are denied in Berlin, and also by the German Embassy in Loiidon, but they persist in Warsaw and Paris.
First news of the attempted assassination was received 1 in Warsaw from a deserter from the German Army. He alleged that there was open hostility between Field-Marshal Goering and Dr. Goebbells regarding Danzig.
