It is- announced that Bcb Pastor and sJoe Louis will fight a 20-round bout for the world heavyweight boxing championship at Detroit on September 21. ...

The champion will get 40' per. cent, of the gate, and Pastor 17|.It will be the first .20-round chain-. '• pionship bout since Willard' and Jack Dempsey met. It grew out of the fact that Pastor stayed 10 rounds with Louis in 1937.

Billy Conn (Pittsburgh) ■ won the world ..light-heavyweight boxing championship by 'a points decision over Mello Bettina (New York) in a 15round bout. /

Bettina seemed far superior in the first four rounds, after which the challenger made Beilina's face the target for jabs with his left. J3oth. fighters- staggered each- other with hard blows. The referee and the judges unanimously mcked Conn.
