PULLED OFF PONTIFF'S FINGER
[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT. | (Recd. July 15, 11.15 a.m.) VATICAN, July 14. The Pope’s sacred ring was pulled off his finger, without the knowledge of the Pontiff, while thousands were kissing it at the weekly audience. A man shouted, “The Ring! The Ring!” and restored it to the Pope.
