WRESTLING
FORSTER DEFEATS BOESCH. [pee press association.] HAMILTON, "July 14. Frank Forster defeated Paul Boesch by one fall to nil at Hamilton, last evening, the bout being decided in the sixth round, when an exchange of drop-kicks ended in Forster’s favour. The winner was repeatedly warned for hair-pulling and rabbit-punching. JUNES AND BOESCH. Paul “Python Legs” Jones, and Paul “Bombshell” Boesch should draw a packed house for their meeting in the Greymouth Town Hall to-morrow night. Jones, with his rough tactics, and specialty hold, the hook scissors, has had only three matches in New Zealand this season, for one loss on a penalty fall, to McCready, a draw with Blomfield, and a win over Jack Donovan. He is a fine wrestler, one of the best of the present team, and a real crowd-pleaser. Boesch needs no, introduction to the West Coast. He is one of the, most popular matmen ever to visit New Zealand, a polished wrestler, and a fast, spectacular worker. adept in the use of the deadly drop-kick, and thq rolling short-arm scissors. Boesch has added to his repertoire, the “Japanese sleeper” or “Unconscious hold,” and this effec? tive, if not exactly, painful hold, has won him several falls this season. Eight roupds of fast, thrilling wrestling can be assured patrons of the Town Hall to-morrow night. The following amateur preliminary b.outs have been arranged:—A. McLean (Kumara) v. P. Callanan (Greymouth); G. Burn (Greymouth) v. A. Panther (Greymouth); J. Watson (Runanga) v. Hopkins (Greymouth); R. Marley (Cobden) v. K. Fisher (Greymouth).
