The Canberra correspondent of the “Herald” says that agents from foreign countries are believed to be entering Australia, and, to keep track of them, as well as to provide greater supervision of alien migrants and others who might, in time of war, become enemies by virtue of their nationality, a proposal to increase the staff of the Commonwealth Investigation Branch will shortly be considered by the Federal Cabinet. The Attorney-General (Mr. Hughes) said that he proposed to call for an official report, concerning alleged Nazi activities in Australia.
