CANTERBURY TEAM

At its meeting last evening, the Executive of the Canterbury Rugby League approved of the following team, selected by Mr J. E. Amos, to play West Coast in the trial match at Greymouth, on Sunday: R. Timms, C. Davison, R. Chinnery, J. Campbell, W. Guy, J. O’Connor. R. G. Young. L. Brown, N. Boutcrey, J. Clark, C. Tayloi', R. Price, B. Barnard, E. Grimes, R. King, G. Bellaney. IV. Cole was appointed manager of the team. The third grade selectors were advised to select a team to play a match against a West Coast junior team, on July 2. INANGAIIUA MATCHES. The Inangahua senior competition was continued on Sunday in fine weather and before good attendances. At Waiuta, the home team .fielded a. much improved side and defeated Kiwis by 14 points to 13. It was an excellent game,and exciting throughout.

At Ikamatua, Waratahs were defeated by Grey Valley by seven points to three, after a hard game. Next week’s matches will finalise the White Horse Cup competition, and the result is still in doubt. Grey Valley lead by two points from Waratahs, and the former still have to play Waiuta, while Waratahs have to play Kiwis.

In a third grade match at. Reefion the local team beat. Waiuta. by 32 points to 6.
