NEW YORK, June 18, Bob Skene scored five goals for the English polo team to defeat the Americans for the first time since 1914, winning the last of the international series by 16 goals to 14, assisted by a handicap of 10 goals. Skene scored his last goal with two minutes to go, his 40-yard drive thwarting the Americans’ desperate attempt to tie.
