The monthly meeting of the Nelson Land Board, held on Thursday, was attended by Mr. P. R. Wilkinson. Commissioner of Crown Lands (Chairman), and Messrs. A. R. Edwards, J. O’Regan, W. Sections 2, 3 and 7, Blocks 111 and IV, Howard S.D., area 1085 acres. Lawrence Mead. —Resolved to grant exemption from residence during the pleasure of the Board.

Cancellation: 25 acres in Block I, Tutaki S.D. Matakitaki Junction Gold Dredging (No Lialibity) Co. —Resolved to cancel OL3IG as at 30/6/39, and to grant a year to year grazing license to Mr. C. G. O’Brien, at an annual rental of £l, as from 1/7/39. The Inangahua County Council forwarded proposals for the expenditureof thirds amounting to £B3/10/- and accrued to 31/3/39.—Approved. The Buller County Council forwarded proposals for the expenditure of thirds, etc., amounting to £52/8/G and accrued to 31/3/39.— Approved. The Conservator of Forests, Nelson, forwarded proposals by local bodies as under for the expenditure of fifths of revenue from State Forests: Inangahua County Council period ending 31/3/39. £36.—Approved.
