The annual migration of field mice towards Winter shelter has led to a strange friendship being formed in a Wellington suburb. About 10 days ago a householder who keeps a canary in a cage hung in a covered porch, discovered a mouse in the cage, apparently cm good terms with the callary. 'The mouse was eventually napped, aud the canary showed signs of distress and loneliness. Next morning, however, the canary was as chirpy as ever —another field mouse had taken up residence in the cage. QMITH & SMITH’S Anvil Paints are N.Z. made from the finest procurable raw materials.
