IN.TECTIONS OF "HUMAN OIL” A method of removing scars by injecting “human oil” is described by Mr. Cecil P. G. Wakeley, senior surgeon at King’s College, London. Knowing that human fat is fluid at body temperature, he writes, he obtained some from the fatty tissues of the abdomen. After isolation and sterilisation, the oil is injected in small quantities between the adherent bone and skin. The treat meat is continued at fortnightly intervals until the adlmrent sear is made to "float" on the tinderlying st ruct ure. Twelve cases of adherent scars at tins buck of (lit.* hand have been treated by ilii!'. method mid have given uniformly good results, it is also valuable in many cases of facial burns in which the sear is adherent io the bone.
