The death occurred on Wednesday at her residence, Ardagh, Methven. of Kate Thurza, widow of Mr W. J. Dickie, M.P. She formerly resided for a number of years at Coal Creek, and was a teacher in the Cobden Sunday School. She was a sister of the late Thomas Peyman.
The death occurred at .Spreydon, Christchurch, on Thursday, of Arthur Robert McNee, a former resident of Murchison, aged 62 years. He is survived by his wife, and two sisters, Mesdames Bell and Anderson (Christchurch). Mr and Mrs A. B. Spiers, Mr and Mrs M. R. Spiers, and Mr W. Hunter left last evening, to attend the funeral, to-day.
Rev. Brothers Oswald (Director), Egbert, and Bede returned yesterday, from Christchurch. Rev. Brothers Eugene and John, who were stationed at Greymouth last year, have been transferred to Invercargill, and Claremont. (Timaru) respectively, and will be succeeded at Greymouth by Rev. Brothers Alexius, of Invercargill, and Keven, of Sacred Heart College, Auckland.

Mr. C. E. Cole, who, has been on the legal staff of the Public Trust Office for nearly 20 years, and who held the position of solicitor to the office since 1932, has retired on superannuation through ill-health. Mr, J. H. Carrad, assistant-solicitor, has been appointed solicitor to the Public Trust Office in succession to Mr. Cole. Mr. Carrad joined the staff of the Magistrate’s Court at Hastings as a cadet in April, 189 S, and remained in the service of the Justice Department until he was transferred to the legal staff of the Public Trust Office in October, 1919. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. — Press Assn.
