Frazer Ratcliff, Mick Bowie, and' Kurt Suter, who have been climbing the Sansato Mountain Group in Southern Asia, returned to Sydney. They were unable to scale the highest peak, 20,000 feet, owing to adverse weather.
PORT KEMBLA DISPUTE SYDNEY, January 19. Negotiations for the settlement of the Port Kembla pig iron dispute will be renewed on Tuesday. The Prime Minister (Mr. Lyons) and the Attorney-General (Mr. Menzies) will await the outcome of a mass meeting of waterside workers at Port Kembla to-morrow, at which representative union leaders have agreed, to urge the men to accept the original terms of settlement. SYDNEY, January 20. New hope for a settlement of the pigiron dispute arose when a meeting of unions at Wollongong, last night, unanimously recommended the acleptance of the terms providing for the loading of the Dalfram, withdrawals of wharf licences, and a deputation to Mr Lyons and Mr Menzies to discuss the future exports of pigiron. A vital meeting of Port Kembla watersiders will be held on Saturday to decide whether the terms are acceptable.
