REEFTON, January 18
Mr. and Mrs. 11. Evans, of Gisborne, spent, the week-end in Reefion, and left, for Greymouih, on Monday, where Mr. Evans will spend six months in charge of a prospecting party. Mrs. Mona Tracy, of Christchurch, is visiting I’eefton.
Since Saturday last, the weather at Reefton. and in the Inangahua disu'i'i. has been wild. Sunday was wet. eohl. and miserable, and on Monday there
wore slips on the road between B-mL ion and Lewis Pass. The 1 nangahna River is running high, and on Monday afternoon was fringing the road at Crush inglon. Rain fell all day Tuesday. in cold showers, and the snow line is low. The Paparoas are carrying almost a mid-Winter coal of snow. A severe thunderstorm broke over the town, shortly after six o’clock on Tuesday night. No damage is reported, and all roads are clear.
