Cooper left to-day, on return to Christchurch. 1 Mr. M. Masters left, this morning, on return to Christchurch. Mrs. H. J., Steele (Sydney) and Mrs. Dinnan (Pahiatua), who have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. Evans, Aickens, left to-day for Masterton. I The death occurred on. Tuesday at 'Christchurch, of Mts Agnes Isitt, i widow of Hon. L. M. Isitt. She leaves i a son (Group-Captain L. M. Isitt) and a daughter (Mrs C. J. Thornton).
The death has occurred at Sydney of Mr Frank Morton, father of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly and South Coast member for Wollondilly, aged 73.
Mr. C; E. Cramond, clerical staff, Public Works Department, Greymouth, has received notice of transfer to Dunedin. He will be replaced by Mr. B. A. Brown, of Dunedin.
Mr. A. J. Levings, plant overseer, Public Works Department, Greymouth, has received notice of transfer to the Transport Department, as Vehicle Inspector, for the West Coast.
The funeral of the late Michael Canice Rooney took place this morning, at the Karoro Cemetery. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church by Rev. Father Kelly, who also conducted the service at the graveside.
Mr. B: J. Kilpatrick, who has been on the clerical staff of the Public Works Department, Greymouth, for the past three and a-half years, has received notice of transfer to Reefton, and will leave for Reefton in the course of the next two weeks. He will be replaced at Greymouth by Mr. H. D. Double, of Invercargill. Mr. Kilpatrick is a member of the West Coast Rugby Union.
The death occurred' at Christchurch, yesterday, of Mr. Graham Thomas Wade, a native of Greymouth, aged 24 years. Deceased, who was the second 1 son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Wade, left Greymouth with his parents about 15 years' ago. He was educated at the Grey Main School. He had suffered only a short illness, contracting pneumonia a week ago. Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, John (Nelson) and Roy (Timaru).
The death occurred yesterday, at Westport, following a short illness, of Mrs Marie Ames, wife of Mi’ Neil Ames, recently appointed Collector of Customs at Westport. A native of Greymouth, aged 34 years, deceased was the elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. H. Parfitt, of Greymouth, and prior to her marriage was a wellknown elocutionary and musical artist, meeting with many successes at the Greymouth Competitions. For seven years’ she was organist at Holy Trinity Church, and was also associated with other musical organisations. She was one of the founders of the Girl Guide movement in Greymouth, and was district captain for two years. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents', one brother, Mr Grey Parfitt (Greymouth), and one sister, Mrs M. D. Williams (Kokiri). The funeral will take place at the Karoro Cemetery to-mor-row, leaving the residence of Mr and Mrs W. H. Parfitt, Devon Street, at 2.30 p.m.
