LABOUR LEADER SHOT

Two masked men assassinated Arthur Schading, the “Czar” of St. Louis trade unions, and the principal figure in union disputes. The men fired 12 bullets into his body and head, and then fled.
Schading is the second business agent to be killed under similar circumstances. The previous assassination, which was never solved, occurred in 1922.
