COBDEN NOTES
joUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Some interesting figures have, been obtained by the teaching staff of the Cobden Scliool in connection with the Milk-in-Schools scheme. In two classes the children were weighed at the commencement of the scheme and again some twelve weeks later. One child, who did' not take the issue, did not make any increase in weight. The others in the same class averaged an increase of 3.961b5. One boy “grew” by S.Blbs. In the next class the average increase was 3.31bs and two of these made an increase of 71bs. It will be interesting to see the results at the end of the year, when the scheme will have been in operation for six months.
