FRIENDLY GAMES A friendly game between a visit ing Denniston team and Taylorville, which was played on the Taylorville Domain on Saturday, resulted in a draw one all. Crowe scored for Denniston and Jordan for Taylorville. Conditions were unpleasant and the ground was like a quagmire. Playing at Runanga yesterday, Runanga defeated Denniston by 2 goals to one. Timlin and Maskill scored for Runanga and R. Smith for Denniston. The visitors gave a fine display against the fast moving Runanga side and played solidly to hold Runanga to a one goal lead. India won the third Soccer test, which was played ‘at Newcastle on Saturday, defeating Australia by four goals to one. The visitors gave a fine display at ball control and astute positional play.
