The death occurred yesterday at Sydney of Mr John Joseph Rouse, the chairman of Kodak Australasia Pi’oprietary Limited, at the age of seventy-seven years.

A Sydney cablegram stated that the death occurred suddenly yesterday. of the cartoonist, Tom Glover, of the “Sun.” aged 47. He was at one time political cartoonist of the “New Zealand Free Lance.”

Mr F. W. Furby, Chief Postmaster at Christchurch, will retire on superannuation on September 30 after forty years’ service as a civil servant. For manj T years Mr Furby was associated 'with Parliament in high executive positions.

An Official Wireless- announced the death of Mrs Watts, widow' of G. F. Watts, the famous Victorian artist, whose paintings including “Hope.’ and “Love Locked Out,” have been widely reproduced. Mrs Watts, who survived her husband by thirty-four years, was aged eighty-eight. She formed a collection of her husband’s work, in the Watts Memorial Gallery, Compton. Surrey.
