RIFLE SHOOTING
RUNANGA v. ROSS. The Ross Club visited the Runanga Club during the week-end for a friendly match., Ross won by llpts. in a shoot of eight men a-side. The homo r-l”b provided lunch and tea for the visitors. Trophies for Ross were won by (1. Rae and J. Thompson. K. McDonald was the winner of the Runanga trophy. Condtions. eight shots, one optional sighter 25-yard range, metric target. The following were the scores:— Ross: G. Rae 67. T. Vincent 67, R. Upjohn 67, F. Hamilton 66, C. Gibbard 65, D. Thompson 62, V. Denia 62, A. Vincent 61; total 517. Runanga: K. McDonald 68, G. Hildebrand 67, T. Bannister 64, D. McDonald 64, J. Smith 63, R. Murray 61, D. Hewison 61, W. Williamson 58; total 506.
