WEATHER FORECAST General situation: An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity extends from the north-west. Tasman Sea across the South Island, and is moving slowly eastward. Pressure has fallen considerably over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds with northerly gradually predominating, and freshening weather. Fino at first, but. cloud increasing, and later rain developing in southern area. Temperatures cold, with, some frost to-night. Seas slight to moderate.
