BRUNNER NOTES
[OUB OWN COBRESPONDENT.] Mr. W. Ewan, Christchurch, is visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs D. Ewan. Dobson. Mrs. and Miss Higson have returned to Dobson, after a fortnight’s holiday, spent in Christchurch. Misses Franklin and Longson, of Taylorville school staff, have returned after spending the term vacation in Canterbury. Miss Emmerson arrives this, evening from Christchurch, as relieving head teacher at Taylorville school, Mr. A. E. Mahon being on sick leave. Mrs. G. Neilson and Miss M. Neilson, Hokitika, have returned home after a holiday visit to the former’s sister, Mrs. A. Guthberlet, Dobson. Messrs. G. Porteous, R. Cameron, J. Russell, W. Hazeldine, and L. Walton represented the Brunner Branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association at the Hokitika R.S.A. annual re-union banquet. on Saturday evening. Mr. P. Moore, Mrs. M. McDonald, and Mrs. R. Wick were successful players. at the Taylorville School whist drive, held on Saturday evening.
