Valentine captained the English eleven, and lost the toss. / Fingleton failed to settle down and j repeatedly mistimed. The BarnettBarnes partnership was worth 115 in 70 minutes. Barnett, hit nine fours in a chanceless innings. Barnes drove with tremendous power. After passing 50 he hit 10 fours.
