MORE ABOUT THE INDIANS. [PER PBEBB ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 9. The Prince of Manavad'ar’s hockey’ team from India is comsidered by Mr IT. S. J. Goodman (President of the New Zealand Hockey Association) to be the most outstanding combination of hockey’ players, that has ever visited the Dominion. Mr Goodman returned' to Christchurch this morning, after extending an official welcome, to the team at Wellington, and 1 attending tho team’s first practice in New Zealan cl. “I was very much impressed with their style of play,” said' Mr Goodman, “anti I am confident that they

will compare more than favourably with the two previous Indian teams to visit this country.” The Indians, he said, were recognised as the moist outstanding players in the world, particularly in regard to stick play. It was a State team, including three outside players; of international standard, andi was not a, club team, as previously reported. P. P. Fernandey, who would be remembered for his electrifying dashes; down the right wing, during the; last Indian team’s visit to New Zealand, was one of the outside players. Fernandey was only a boy when he was here on the last occasion, so that even greater things could be expected from! him. Two other players, in S. M. Hussain (Captain), and Shahbuddin, had also previously visited these shores.
