KENNEDY v. JENSEN.
One of the most surprising wrestlers among the men imported by the Dominion Wrestling Union this season is Leo Jensen, the DanishCanadian who is to make his second appearance at Greymouth on Saturday night against “Irish” Jack KennedyThough not big as wrestlers go, Jensen has all the size necessary to handle the heaviest of opponents, and his strength and speed are amazing. The prospect of seeing him against a tough and' aggressive performer like Kennedy has strong appeal. Kennedy is ovei 1 6ft in height and weighs nearly 17 stone, and is credited with having more holds in his kit than practically any other wrestler. His record includes a draw against Ray Steele and wins over Abe Coleman, Stanley Pinto, and Gino Garibaldi, among the most highly ranked wrestlers in the States. Those who saw Jensen in action against Meehan will realise that he will be seen at his best against a man like Kennedy, who always forces the issue and who cleverly mixes “straight” holds with punishing measures like flying tackles, dropkicks, and forearm jolts. Preliminary amateur bouts have been arranged as- follow: —W. Balderstone v. E. Brady: Tones v. R. Smith; W. Croft v. J. Blanchfield.
