RUSH TO JOIN

SYDNEY RIFLE CLUBS. SYDNEY, May 10. A rush of enrolments in rifle clubs, unprecedented for many years, has occurred throughout the State, in the last few weeks. It has been so great that tho normal establishment of the rifle clubs in New South Wales has been exceeded by 1,100 members, and the authorities have decided temporarily to suspend the enrolment of new members. It was ascertained, yesterday, that the suspension of enrolments is expected to last for only a very brief period. It was explained that a definite establishment for rifle clubs is laid down, as it is for all units of.the forces, and that if the full strength of that establishment is reached, enrolments are temporarily suspended, but that if it is found that interest in any particular rifle clubs has waned those clubs are disbanded, and other clubs are. then formed.
