WEST COAST ASSOCIATION A meeting of the executive of the West Coast Basketball Association was held last evening, when there were present Misses M. E. Ray (President), M. Tennent, P. Kerins, M. Hill, E. A. Rohloff, M. Paterson and E. V. Rohloff (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Miss Williams. Names of players for registration were received from the Runanga, Taylorville, Trumans, and Cobden Convent O.G. Clubs. Reefton Sub-Association wrote enquiring as to the approximate date for the triangular tournament among Hokitika, Greymouth and Reefton representative teams, to be held at Reefton. —It was decided to suggest either July 9 or 16. It was decided that the usual Yankee tournament and parade of teams be held on the King’s Birthday, June 6; nominations to close on May 28. Canterbury Association advised that they were agreeable to the inauguration of an annual home and home match between West Coast and Canter bu ry. In view of the large number of promising players this season, the meeting unanimously decided that two representative teams be selected.
