Hector Bywater, in the “Telegraph,” reveals that a description of the five George the Fifth class of battleships, which are being built, is published in the Journal of the German Admiralty. The main armament is ten 14-inch gups, with weight of broadside 15,600 lbs., which is 40 per cent, below His Majesty’s ship Nelson, but is compensated for by more rapid fire and weight of armour protection. The 13,000 -tons ships are mounting the most powerful anti-aircraft batteries afloat.
