General inference: The recent anticyclone is now moving eastwards off the North Island. A depression is | proaching across the South Tasman Sea, while another is centred northwest of Norfolk Island. Pressure has risen again over South-eastern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate, but freshening northerly winds. Weather becoming cloudy and unsettled, with rain probable. Temperatures mild. Seas slight to moderate.
