Public Schools’ forty : sixth annual regatta on the Nepean River on Saturday for which there was splendid weather. The “head of the river” champion eights was won, for the second year in succession, by Sydney Church of England Grammar School crew (North Shore), Sydney High School was second, and- Newington College third. The. winning margin was three-quarters of a length, with five lengths between second and third. The time was Smins 26 1-0 secs. The First Fours was won. by Sydney High School, who were hotly challenged by the North Shore crew, the latter being defeated by only a quarter of a length;’ Scots College was third. The Second Fours was won by Saint Joseph’s College, who beat Sydney High School by a length and :■ quarter, North Shore crew being the same distance away third.
