The- Commissioner of Taxes advertises that—an instalment, of the regis-tration-levy becomes payable on Aiay 1, and that on the same date there also tails due the first instalment of the employment' charge on income other than salar.v <>r wages derived during Hie year' ended IVlarcli 31, 1938. The registration levy is' payable by all male persons twenty years of age or over, oilier than those entitled to exemption. All male persons twenty years oi age or over, other than those exem] r, are required in May,- to furnish in respect- of the year ended .March 21, 1938,‘'declarations of income other than salary or wages ("nil” or otherwise). 'The declaration forms I are in two parts. Part I is the usual! term of declaration of income, whilst! Part 11. comprises a declaration of industrial and occupational status. Both parts must be completed in every; case, notwithstanding that Part L may in some instances he a "nil" de- ' claration. All women twenty years or ever whose income other than salarv or wages exceeds £5O are also required -to complete bmh parts of the declaration form. f
