Lydiate, who lias been visiting her son. Mr A. Lydiate, left to-day, on return to Christchurch. She was accompanied by Mrs A. Lydiate. Mr. R/Haglund. of the Ashburton branch of the Bank of New South Wales, arrived yesterday to take up relieving duties at Greymouth. He was accompanied by Mrs. Haglund. The engagement is announced of Margaret Harrier Kerr, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. McKenzie, Cowper Street. Greymouth, to Wellesley Williams. twin son of the late Mr F. S. McKechnie. and Airs B. McKechnie, Alerivale. Christchurch. Air. A. S. Sutherland, a farmer, of Ngaruatvahia. has been selected as National candidate for Raglan. Other ' nominees were Alessrs S. C. Macky, ;R.
